Camping on Fraser Island, Australia

Australia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

One of the things I really enjoy doing in Australia is camping. I love to go to the beautiful beaches and just enjoy nature in the beautiful country. I think the best place to camp in Australia is on Fraser Island in Queensland.

If you’re interested in camping on Fraser Island, you’ve come to the right place.

Camping on Fraser Island

Fraser Island is the largest and most impressive sand island in the world.

There are many campsites on the island and camping is a unique way to explore the fabulous island. I like camping on the eastern beach because it’s quiet and has the privacy I need. I love to hear the crashing waves and see the spectacular ocean views. The white sand beach feels great under my feet and I can also explore the island’s wooded areas.

Camping at Frasers on Cathedral Beach

Frasers on Cathedral Beach is the only private campsite on the island. It is set on 25 acres and the surrounding area is calm and relaxing. Children are welcome and a shower is available. The campsite is in close proximity to the beach, a national park, shops and a winery. As well as camping, I love bird watching, fishing, sand boarding and bush walking on the island.

Dundubara campsite

Dundubara campsite is also an ideal place for camping. You can camp near the beach, in the trees, or outdoors. It can only be reached by four-wheel drive. What I like most about this campsite are the wonderful fishing opportunities. Hot showers, flush toilets, and payphones are available. There is a curfew on noise which makes it great if you have kids. If you have young children or someone else who doesn’t like sleeping in a tent, renting an RV is a great option. You need to keep in mind that you will need to stop by and pick up a permit to drive and camp on Fraser Island.

Camping at Waddy Point

Waddy Point is a campsite that offers camping next to a rocky headland. The water is pleasant and calm, which makes it an ideal place for swimming and fishing. There are tables, showers, a grill, toilets and hiking trails.

Camping at Lake Boomanjin

Campsite at Lake Boomanjin is a fenced campsite suitable for tent camping. It is a walk-in campsite between a parking lot and Boomanjin Lake. The area offers access to fishing, swimming, and water sports. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is great for kids. Those who enjoy nature will love staying at Lake Boomanjin.

Camping in Australia offers a unique experience to enjoy nature. You’ll see some of the most beautiful beaches and national parks in the world (read our guide to camping in Queensland).

Can’t wait to go back as it is one of my favorite places when I need a break from everyday pressures.
