CH Günther – new man at the top |
The US food company CH Guenther has a new CEO and President in the role of former PepsiCo and Kellogg managing director John Buckles.
He replaces Dale Tremblay, the CEO of the San Antonio, Texas-based company since 2001.
Tremblay remains as owner of the board of directors with brand owners Pioneer, White Wings, Sun-Bird and Cuisine Adventures. He will work with Buckles during a transition period.
Buckles is described by CH Guenther (CHG) as „an experienced leader in the food and beverage industry”. He comes from Ventura Foods, where he was most recently Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held „commercial and operational management positions” at PepsiCo, Kellogg and The Coca-Cola Co.
He will take up his new role on July 29th.
Buckles said, „I have long admired CHG’s culture, product quality, customer partnerships and manufacturing expertise. I look forward to continuing CHG’s commitment to building lasting relationships and its passion for innovating remarkable food solutions.”
CHG was founded in Texas in 1851 and today employs more than 3,500 people at 24 production sites in the USA, Canada and Western Europe. The products, which include biscuits, soups and desserts, are delivered to the foodservice, retail and private label channels.
The company, along with management and other co-investors, is owned by Pritzker Private Cital (PPC). PPC and management took over the business in 2018.
