With a classic structure organized into sections for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks, this cookbook has recipes for use on all of Haylie's programs as well as delicious, fun meals newcomers can make to eat healthy, speed up their metabolism, and lose weight. It includes trending topics like slow cooker and Instant Pot meals, and a meta-tag index for quick reference. Haylie’s messaging has always been “eat more food to lose more weight,” and this cookbook delivers the hearty, tasty food her readers have come to expect—all of the health and weight loss with none of the deprivation or sacrifice of variety or flavor.

About the Recipes
I had several goals when I was creating the recipes in this book. One was to make every recipe well balanced, with a diversity of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat) and micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals from plant foods). Another was to make the recipes taste amazing! The recipes span breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and desserts and include dishes like Steak Breakfast Fajitas, Slow Cooker Roasted Mediterranean Chicken, and Berry Good No-Bake Cheesecake.
Cooking for a Fast Metabolism
It takes delicious food to build a fast metabolism
Every single recipe in this book contains only foods from the Master Metabolism Food List—a list of the foods that fire up your metabolism rather than slow it down. Eat primarily from this list and you will be throwing kindling on your metabolism and flooding your body with the micronutrients it needs, even if you aren’t following any particular eating plan.

Metabolism Myths and Facts
Myth #1: The Way to Lose Weight Is to Eat Less
Metabolism is nutrient dependent, which means fuel from food is what determines the rate of burn. This is why you must eat strategically to stimulate your metabolism. Starvation will slow your rate of burn over time.
Myth #2: If It’s Delicious, It’s Naughty
Here’s a wonderful fact about metabolism: Pleasure is slimming. When you enjoy your food, you reduce your stress hormones and give your body permission to burn fat. Make peace with food and your metabolism will thrive.
Myth #3: Calories are Worth Counting
The truth is, calories are a lie. They have very little to do with how your body responds to food, and they have nothing to do with you or your metabolism. They’re certainly not the answer to getting your body and your health where you want them to be.
