Seara now in seafood |
Brazil-based meat giant JBS has launched a range of seafood in its home market under its flagship Seara brand.
JBS has launched a range of ten products, including pieces of salmon and tilia fillets, and the demand for seafood in Brazil is growing.
Sandro Facchini, Seara’s fish manager, said JBS is seeing „growing consumption of this type of protein” in the country.
„After the launches, the goal is to establish the company as the leading fish company in Brazil. We will use the entire logistics and sales structure of the company to reach Brazilian tables with certified products that combine the characteristic features of the brand such as quality. Innovation, health and sustainability, „said Facchini.
JBS sells a range of meat products, ready meals and margarines under the Seara brand.
In 2019, the company launched the brand for plant-based alternatives to meat with the launch of the Incrivel burger. Because of JBS’s meat-free ambitions, the company also set up Planterra Foods, a stand-alone business unit in the United States, one of the largest markets outside of Brazil.
