The Ministry has stated that the “Tender Document” can be accepted by the host institutes of joint incubation centers under the PM-FME program, while the host can make necessary changes according to the needs of the institution.
The sample tender document contains formats for the deadline sheet, scope of services, delivery time, admission criteria, tendering process, evaluation process, general terms and conditions, arbitration clause, negotiations, applicable law and place of jurisdiction as well as changes and withdrawals of offers and so on.
The food processing companies wishing to use the services of the system can use this document for deliveries in their respective units. The document is available on the MoFPI website and can be downloaded.
The Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME) Scheme, launched under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, is a centrally funded program that aims to improve the competitiveness of existing individual micro-enterprises in the disorganized segment of the food processing industry and formalize the sector and supporting producer organizations, self-help groups and producer cooperatives along their entire value chain.
At Rs 10,000 crore over five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25, the program will direct the 2,000,000 micro-food processing units in providing financial, technical and business support for upgrading existing micro-foods to support food processing companies.
According to the ministry, a total of 4,707 applications were submitted under the program, while 2,968 applications were received for a district and a product project. Another 1,852 existing sole proprietorships and 2,854 new sole proprietorships have applied for the scheme.
