The KoB list of mandatory documents was divided into two parts. One was for non-producing KoBs and another was for producing KoBs.
The documents now also contain details of the designated authorized signatory, a recall plan (previously optional) and a declaration for products that are only intended for export.
The mandate states that the FSSAI has been constantly in the process of making the licensing and registration process simple and streamlined to make doing business easier.
“In this direction, the document that is required for submitting the order dated May 14, 2012 under the reference has been checked. In order to provide clarity about the documents to be submitted, these documents have been separated on the basis of the type of company and their relevance to KoBs. Some of the non-essential documents have been dispensed with and various declarations to be submitted have been consolidated, ”the order states.
The KOB list has been checked by the FSSAI, and the necessary changes have also been made to the FoSCoS system for licensing and registration purposes.
It is worth noting that the FSSAI received many requests for additional documents requested by the state food safety departments and subsequently the matter was discussed in the Central Advisory Committee, where it was decided to upload the KoB list for your convenience FBOs.
The Commissioners were also asked not to insist on submitting additional documents beyond the list issued by the FSSAI.
